1. Written by Frustrated BEYOND on February 19, 2012 from alexandria, virginia, US I received my bill from a new company Santander a while back. I called to ask what was going on and they explained that they purchased my car loan from Citi. Ok fine, things were fine for a while. I went online one month just like EVERY OTHER MONTH to pay my bill and a MoneyGram or Western Union page pops up, they now want me to pay then $15 to make my payment. I called them to find out what was going on. "Did you make the customers aware that you were changing this?" "I don't know" Well after going ROUNDS with them, he said he would take my payment and waive the fee just for this month. Ok fine. I then receive a letter from Wester Union or Moneygram thanking me for making my payment...the amount was HIGHER than what I had authorized. I called them back to get it straightened out. I am told they cannot credit back the overage, they would have to refund the whole thing for me to do it again. However, if we do that the payment would be considered late and it would affect my credit. Again went rounds with them. Without my knowledge my complaint was sent the their "Office of the President." This meant each time i called I would be transfered into a voicemail box and of course never receive a call back. I was unable to talk to a human. I decided to refinance my loan to get out from under this rediculous company. I received an email stating my vehicle had been paid off and my title would be sent out within 30 days. This was back in October and we still haven't received the title. Once again I called them. They tell me all they have is an out of state title and they never received my title from my new local DMV. The DMV said they sent it to Citi Financial. BUT you can't ever reach them. The people are RUDE, have no Customer Service skills at all. As a company they should be ashamed of themselves. I now have to figure out how to get a title from a company you can't reach. If someone has a suggestion, let me know.

5. Written by BB on July 13, 2011 from charlotte, north carolina, US I hate santander usa and hate is a strong word but it has come to that. This company reported me 30days late on my credit report and I was not.I even check there web site payment history and it do not show me 30 days late but have charged me late fees for 5 months. When I called them to ask if they would remove it from my credit report they said they stop doing goodwill gesture a long time ago and told me to call there dispute line which I did and got the same reaction. This has caused my credit score to decrease by 70 points and there is nothing I can do about it. I found out that they purchased my account from citi when I called to pay citi finance a car payment. I have my lawyer looking into this I plan to sue them for the negative mark on my credit report. Is there a class action law suit filed against them for the state of N.C.? If so I want to be a part of it.
6. Written by Rob on July 2, 2011 from denver, colorado, US Santander is the most ruthless, annoying, aggressive and difficult company that I have ever had to deal with. Between the harassment calls if I am a day late to the forced 3rd party payment processors when I make a payment by anything but check through the mail (like online to stop the annoying calls)
7. Written by WhatAJoke on June 29, 2011 from memphis, tennessee, US This is the most annoying company I have ever dealt with. My loan also being sold to them by Citi. Being 1 day late on a payment and they blow my dang phone up. Been paying on this car for 3 year now. Pay every month and will continue to do so, why all the harrassment? Not pleased with this company at all.
8. Written by PatterC on June 22, 2011 from kemp, texas, US I traded my car that had the Santander Loan on it that Citi dumped to them. The car was paid off but Santander kept taking out monthly payments from my bank account. they still haven't given the money back and they even tried to deny taking it until I sent them bank statements showing the withdrawls. I will never do business with any company in Citi group again.
9. Written by creole queen on June 10, 2011 from ruston, louisiana, US I thought I was crazy. All the negative reports I have heard have happened to me as well. I have tried to pay my bill and they turned me down. Citi did not tell me about the transition, I found out through call after call after call from santander who then refused my payment. They are difficult to contact and you recieve the automated royal run around. Something need to be done. No thanks Citifinancial.
10. Written by Beth on March 7, 2011 from los angeles, california, US SANTANDER. I GUESS CITI WHO I LIKED VERY WELL SOLD OUT ... I KEEP HEARING HORROR STORIES ABOUT SANTANDER BUT I HAVE MY SUV WITH THEM AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS SO FAR. (KNOCK ON WOOD)BUT MY OTHER CAR WITH CITI WHO WAS BOUGHT BY SANTANDER PUT IT ON MY CREDIT AS A CHARGE/OFF WTH. I FINISHED PAYING OF MY CAR NOTE WITH CITI SO I THOUGHT. SO KNOW THEY ARE CHARGING OFF MY CAR. lol TALKING TO THEM IS WAY HARD THEY CAN BE RUDE. SHE STATED TO ME THAT THEY ONLY DO BUSINESS WITH SUB PRIME BORROWERS AND THEY ARE HIGH RISK SO THEY DON'T MESS AROUND. SO I GUESS THAT GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO BE MEAN
