HSBC auto loans sold or merger their company to a bull *** company called Santander consumer which happens to be a collection agency. What kind of *** is this.

My first statement come to me looking like a collection letter not a statement at all. How degrading is this if some one else sees it! I am so upset over this it makes me want to scream. so when i called them the first thing i hear on the phone is their miranda of how the call is recorded as they are a collection agency.

so i asked them where do they get off sending me a letter of collection for a loan that is not even late!with warnings on it that state do not be late or you will owe a bigger lump sum at the end of the loan. This guy stumbles because i caught him off gurd with the questioning line and tells me they are a collection company . so i told them i do not do business with a collection agency so if that is what they are do not ask for any money at all. Now if you are a loan company then that is different.

I will sit here and talk to them to see what is going on. so he changed his story right away and said they mergered with HSBC auto loans.

So either way it goes i am looking for a new loan company does any one know of a good loan company? by the way i was not even notified that there was a change coming to the loan so this is sold unwillingly from me.

Yea I have 6 payments left but some how I still owe them 5000 dollars.... These guys are crooks...

There is a class action lawsuit going on right now about there fees that appear out of no where... Look up Santander consumer USA class action lawsuit....

James, and that your company was given my phone number, as I would know how to get in contact with Mr. and Mrs.

I do not know how you figure out I would know how to get a hold of someone I do not know, nor have ever met, and expect me to give them information to contact you, when I do not know how to get a hold of them myself. It's like asking a stranger on the street how to get a hold of me, when they don't even know me....Does this many any sense to you?

THIS COMPANY IS VERY UNPR0FESSIONAL!!! MY LOAN WAS BOUGHT OUT BY SANTANDER ALSO.

Some people may not be aware that people like myself had our loan agreement with HSBC. HSBC sold our loans to Santander without our OK.

I was not in collections no was I late on my payments as were the majority of others. HSBC sold our loans so that they did not have to deal with them. I am furious that it is a collection company and that uneducated people do not understand that I am not nor have I ever been in collections. HSBC chose to sell the loans to the highest bidder who happens to be a collection company.

I found that Santander is hoping to make about $100 milliion on these loans. I am guessing they have added in all the extra charges in hopes of increasing that amount. However I know that they have also calculated that part of that $100 million will come from the interest made off our loans.

So I am paying my loan off 2+ yrs ahead of time so that wont make anymore money off me!!! I just wish we could all do the same because that would totally mess up their profit margin!!!!!

I BELIEVE IN KARMA WHATEVER THEY DO IN THE DARK WILL COME TO LIGHT. I MADE 6 PAYMENTS SINCE MARCH 19, 2010 BUT, THEY ONLY DEDUCTED 3 AND I HAD TO RECONFIRM THIS W/ SEVERAL EMPLOYEES THEY ALL CONFIRM THE SAME PAYMENTS 3 SO FAR SINCE SANTANDER TOOK OVER MY LOAN IN MARCH W/C DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE BEC IF THAT'S THE CASE MY CAR WOULD'VE BEEN PULLED OUT THIS PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY DOSN'T EVEN NO HOW TO READ THEIR CO STAMENTS.

THEY JUST IMMIDIATELY DEFEND THEIR COMPANY WRONG DOING BEC. THEY WERE TO THAT KIND OF DIRTY JOB. i EVEN SPOKE TO SUPERVISOR AND HANG UP ON ME. BEC.

SHE NOTICED THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING W/ THIS CO AND THAT THE CO MIGHT FIRE HER TO CORRECT MY ACCT OR SOMETHING I DON'T THINK IT'S COMPLICATED TO SEE OR FIND THE PROBLEM IF THE BUSINESS IS RUNNING A GOOD BUSINESS THERE SHOULD NEVER BE A PROBLEM LIKE THIS AND NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL FROM CUSTOMERS. THIS CO IS TEND TO HIDE SOME OF PAYMENTS AND CHARGE LATE FEES TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY TO PEOPLE THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE W/ BAD CREDIT CHARGE MORE HIGH INTEREST RIDICOULOUS FEES 4 ETC. AUTHORITY SHOULD CHECK THIS CO. OUT AND PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS EFFECTIVE IMMIDIATELY AFTER REVIEWING ALL THE COMPLAINTS AS ALL COMPLAINTS ARE LEGIT TO MY KNOWLEDGE AS A CUSTOMER FROM THIS SANTANDER CO.

Its not like a 3rd party collection agency who reports to your credit. Its just a department trying to collect on a past due balance. I do work in collections and its unfortunate how people are treated. I never treat my customers like how you have described.

ok john wayne i never said i dint pay my bill i am always on time and have never ever been late get your facts straight ***. when i called because i got a letter sayin i was late they had informed me that i was missing 1 payment and i proved to the idiots that is was paid no need to send a collection agency after some one for their own mistakes i would have been late at the time if it wasnt ALREADY PAID ONLY 3 DAYS!!!

They dont have to tell anyone what is going on. They are a finance company and all finance companies have a collections department.

Very easy to stop the collection efforts.

Either pay your bill and dont complain or send in a cease and desist letter. Come on people, they are a multimillion dollar company who just want to make money like everyone else

well i am glad toy received a good customer service person most of them there are hard core collection agents without a heart and no regard for another human being. very degrading to me and my wife.this month we didn't receive a statement and called to see about it.

i was told receiving a statement was a privilege what kind of BS is that. on top of that i was told just make you payment and not to worry about it. not a very professional company in my books. i am an owner of a store and if i used tactics as that i would go bankrupt and or belly up in no time.

it is so degrading to call there and have to put up with the malarkey you have to in order just to make a payment. they should have another 1-800 number installed and have quality costumer service in place to take care of the HSBC costumers they acquired. there is nothing in our HSBC contract that said they could or can sell out to another company. still degrading and very disgusted no matter how much you try to protect them.

i am very sure there are plenty of other clients that would say the exact same things. and before they were a financial institute they were a collection company and need to treat their paying costumers with some sort of dignity and respect period!!!

santander consumer usa is not a collection agency becuz they are servicing another companies loan(hsbc) they are considered a third party so by law they have to say th mini mirander but they are also a financial institution....i like them customer service superb especially that exotic caribbean girl forgot her name but she explained that to me

:( God I hate them, everything said above is correct. They have done that to me and I recieve the same treatment, and the worst thing is they are getting away with it all.

Some lawyer person has to step up and sue them and will have all of us behind them. They need to be put out of business and they should have to pay huges fines to all their customers that they treat like ***.

:( Santander is terrible. I have had my car loan through HSBC for 3 years and have 2 years left.

Now that they sold out to Santander I have quit receiving statements, I couldn't access my account on-line and the customer service reps were SO RUDE that they told me it was MY problem I wasn't receiving statements and they couldn't help me. I called everyday for a week and finally on Friday he said too bad, wasn't his problem and that I needed to stop calling. I wrote an email informing them that I wanted access to my account and proof of my debt. If they didn't give it to me I was contacting the FTC.

I immediately received a response and my on-line account has been fixed.

My suggestion is to keep hounding and ultimately contact the FTC. That seems to get their attention.
