There is no reason you should have to pay someone in order to send them money for a bill but since Santander has purchased my loan they have screwed everyone that I have talked to about them. Both my Mother-in-Law and I had our car loans purchased by these Cutthroat Bastards they continue to harass us with threatening and assonine lines of questions in phone calls. If you pay them online it costs you $60 a year just to send them money that cost doubles if you pay by phone.Something needs to ber done about these people 12a7648

I recently reported on a different post in a comment about my dilemma?. So to spare from repeating myself I will just tell you an update:. I am pleased to report that the refinancing for my car went through at my own bank, in the end my brother had to put his car up as collateral and cosigned but we got ourselves out of the loan at Santander/. I encourage anyone who has a loan with Santander to see if you can refinance at your own bank that you trust". I have also warned my bank that Santander is shady and facing lawsuits and to be sure they mark the payment as in full when they pay them off and to make sure absolutely sure they are off my car title?. I now have a refinance through my bank of $194 payments each month for 4 yrs, compared to the 2 1/2 years I had left on the Santander loan at $298/.42 each month'. Putting $104 back into my pocket each month that I need for living expenses, and the interest rates were lower because I now qualify for lower interest rates:. Please see if you can refinance at your own bank, it is worth the trouble.

It costs 5.00 a month to pay online, which is 60.00 a year as the original poster stated. Since most of us had loans with other banks that always let us pay online FOR FREE, we were mighty pissed and rightly so to have to pay even an extra sixty dollars a year. Santander bought my loan at the very end and I was NEVER late through the entire length of the loan. They still have awful service and unfair fees.

The "assonine" lines of questions are to figure out what is causing you not to pay, period. I am sure they have costs of doing business, thats why they charge processing fees. Mail it on time and you will not have to pay ANY fees. Educate yourself about your loan, if your late and have a subprime loan you will be charged a huge per day interest rate, but again, this is clearly stated in your loan agreement that YOU signed. This holds true for every auto finance company, not just Santander.
